7&8 Nov 09: Calling for Participation + Post Mortem #1

Oct 09 v.2 e-newsletter
The LG My Starz Audition attracted a different kind of crowd to e@Curve who were largely talented youngsters aspiring to be the next big star. The guys from Unseen TV came to do a brief interview with a vendor or two and had shots of every stalls and their products taken. We were told that all these pictures will be compiled and made into a short video which will be posted up on their website. Cool, isn't it? We will definitely blog about it here when we get our hands on the video.

Above all else, the Joujou & Shugi Toy Art Mart e@Curve on the 3rd & 4th Oct 09 saw a group of enthusiastic vendors that stood out from the rest of the crowd. Some made brisk sales while others had better luck. They were selling very creative ideas (products, we mean) from hand-sewn tote bags to plush dolls, woven bags, designer t-shirts and handmade jewelleries made from pretty parts imported from the US. There were also a good range of fashionable wears and accessories for the fashionistas of all ages.

Occasionally, there were minor hiccups but that added up to a pretty good experience. Some of our vendors were kind enough to share their comments with us especially on how we can improve the flea market.

Like, the main entrance is the most visible part for advertisement so we should put up more buntings to attract more outside crowd to come in. Or the vendors are better placed all at one side instead of two separate sides. Perhaps, you have a better idea? Let us hear from you! Drop your messages, suggestions or critics even to joujouandshugi@gmail.com.

Joujou & Shugi in e@Curve bi-monthly booklet available at the Info Counter desk. To be distributed in selected nearby colleges and neighbourhoods.

Besides promoting the event via email blasts, blogs and Facebook, we started campaigning the flea market which has been ongoing since the beginning of October 09. We advertise them in the cinemas and on the e@Curve booklet, and place posters next to autopay stations where people will most likely see them when they check out from the mall. We are currently looking into creating more awareness of Joujou & Shugi among the public and flea market followers. Thus, our next step is to distribute flyers around the mall and extend the distribution of the booklets to nearby colleges as well as neighbourhoods in Mutiara Damansara and as far as Petaling Jaya.

Because we tend to get the same questions from time to time, we have grouped them together as Frequently-Asked-Questions. You can find them on the right-hand panel of this blog. If you have something else that you wanted to ask and that it's not listed in the FAQ list, then email to us directly at joujouandshugi@gmail.com

If you're interested to join our upcoming creative flea market on 7th & 8th November 09, space is available for booking until 22 October 2009. Please scroll down to the bottom of this page to find the Vendors Form. Complete it and click the 'Send' button. Our manager, Ms. Vi, will take it from there.

Cheers!
